Our client is looking for a Payment Accountant for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

ROLE

The Payment Accountant reports directly to the Treasury Lead and will be part of the team responsible for payments, cash management and reporting, and VAT reporting. The role will have exposure to different parts of the business and the successful candidate will show potential to develop and progress into other areas of the business. This role will be based in Aberdeen.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Preparation of payment runs and for ensuring funding from JV bank accounts is in place for weekly payment runs

* Processing transactions and journals

* Completing month end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations

* Preparation of monthly VAT return

* Preparation of treasury summary

* Assisting other finance functions with project work as and when required

Experience

* Strong financial process control experience

* Knowledge of SUN systems would be beneficial

* Strong communication (both verbal & written) and team working skills

* Plan and manage workload within challenging timetables

* Strong excel skills

Qualifications

* University Graduate with relevant degree.

* Studying toward or intention to study towards treasury or accountancy qualification; or part qualified accountant
