Our established national client is looking for an immediate start Driver & Trade Counter Assistant at their extremely busy depot in Swindon.
The role is offered on a Temporary basis initially, with the view to take it permanent once training and probation has been passed successfully.
In this busy role you will be part trade counter and part driving/delivery, so no two days will be the same. We are looking for someone who is good with customers, and able to work as part of a busy but very friendly team. There will be heavy lifting involved with this role, so it is important that you are physically fit and have some experience with Health & Safety.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to demonstrate drive, energy, commitment, and dedication to achieving success for themselves and the company.
Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday-Friday
Hourly Rate: GBP10.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Driving a 3.5 ton vehicle and deliveries around Swindon.
Planning work for the department.
Ordering materials.
Ensure equipment is in calibration.
Highlight inadequate or unclear manufacturing/engineering information.
Managing hours worked.
Report department performance.
Ensuring training needs are identified.
Ensure quality standards and factory housekeeping is of the highest standards.Essential Skills:
Good communication skills.
Consistent with the ability to problem solve and decision make.
Customer focused.
Teamwork.
Integrity.
Achievement orientated.
Strive towards continuous improvement.
MUST have full driving licence ideally with minimal points. Our client offer an excellent working environment, with a friendly and outgoing team. There will be opportunity to progress, as the depot grows
