Pertemps Recruitment on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council has an opportunity for a Finance Admin Assistant in the Service Finance Team. This is a temporary position for until 31st December 2021, though there is potential for this to be extended further if the requirement is there. The pay rate is GBP10.49 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week.
To provide support to the Finance Teams with the incoming and outgoing post administration, logging incoming data on Buckinghamshire Council systems and supporting service users and Adults and Health staff in the completion of Finance forms . Monitoring of mailboxes for associated tasks. Scanning, filing and recording of data.
To ensure excellent customer experience through the continuous improvement within the team and by working in collaboration with all aspects of Finance and Adults and Health
Responsibilities
Assisting the Finance Assessment, Finance Deputy, Exchequer and Direct Payment Officers with duties by processing service user's information - scanning, recording and filing - received into the office or via email/phone calls and mailboxes.
Monitoring mailboxes for incoming requests for data or forms
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records and case details.
Assist the Finance Assessment officers with duties regarding billing or invoicing
Liaise with clients, their families/representatives and Adults & Health Service Team regarding data required for Finance purposes, as directed by the Finance Assessment and Direct Services Team Managers in accordance with processes.
Meeting performance targets as required.
To carry out duties as and when directed by the Finance Assessment Team Leader and Direct Services Team Leader
Advise, assist and signpost customers accordingly
Essential Skills and Experience
Educated to GCSE/NVQ Level 3 standard
Relevant practical experience working as part of a team to meet service standards targets and deadlines
Good knowledge of relevant processes, systems, policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of other areas of the authority relevant to the service.
Good planning and organisational skills, with proven ability to prioritise and co-ordinate workloads, monitor and evaluate work, to ensure deadlines are achieved
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
ICT skills - standard Microsoft packages & specialist systems
Good ICT skills which require use of standard packages and may include use of bespoke databases etc/specialist systems
Liaise with others on behalf of manager/team/work area
