Nagel Langdons has an exciting opportunity for an efficient Customer Service Assistant to join our team based in Luton. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday - Friday (Days) and in return you will receive a competitive salary of GBP20,456 per annum.
Ever wondered how Cornish ice cream gets to Glasgow without melting? Well that's what we do at Nagel Langdons. We have 9 depots and over 375 lorries carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We're the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we're very good at it.
The Customer Service Assistant role:
Handles daily enquiries and bookings from customers, ensuring the highest quality of service is delivered and any complaints are followed up and escalated where required.
What you'll be doing as our Customer Service Assistant:
- Respond to all customer enquiries and ensure they are made aware of delivery and collection arrangements, including any unanticipated changes
- Book incoming jobs onto company systems and allocate them to relevant depots, raising any disputes where identified and ensuring any follow-up action is taken
- Work closely with Warehouse colleagues and customers to identify any discrepancies in stock movements and ensure customers are informed and updated of progress
- Assist with price quotations for movement of loads upon request
- Provide cover for the Transport Team where required
Qualifications and experience we're looking for in our Customer Service Assistant:
- Must have customer service experience, preferably in transport
- Level 3 Customer Service or equivalent
- IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
- Experience of liaising with customers and demonstrates an understanding of exceptional customer service
Skills and abilities we're looking for in our Customer Service Assistant:
- Ability to use initiative and to be so organised that key tasks can be completed fully and on time
- Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Proven arithmetic skills
- Should be happy working with a team
- Provide cover for Transport Team where required
