About the role of our People Administrator (HR):

You will support the Pennon People Teams by providing a high-level People administrative service covering all aspects of the People function through the application of appropriate procedures and systems and the maintenance of personal files and relevant records.

You will provide advice and handle routine People problems/queries through the People Service Help Desk and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate, referring to the People Admin Manager as required.

Responsibilities of our People Administrator (HR):

- Providing an effective People administrative service to the Pennon People Teams

- Providing advice and handling routine People problems/queries through the People Services Help Desk and recommending/implementing solutions as appropriate, referring to the People Admin Manager where appropriate

- Managing the onboarding process including the production of contracts, pre-employment screening checks and arranging start dates

- Managing the recruitment process from reviewing job descriptions, posting job advertisements, helping line managers to arrange interviews and the use of the recruitment platform

- Producing routine and standard correspondence for Pennon Group. e.g amendment to contracts, references, mortgage and employment enquiries

- Responding to general enquiries from internal and external contacts promptly and in a courteous manner

- Maintaining daily upkeep of the People computerised system (Oracle) including input of new employees and actions associated with transfers and changes

- Ensuring general administrative tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner eg maintaining personal files, ad hoc correspondence

- Helping to organise and administer any organisational change projects or initiatives that require People support including updating Oracle

- Helping to organise other ad hoc People related activities as required

- Adhering to and promoting best practice and the positive image of the People Team

What we are looking for in our People Administrator (HR):

- 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English Language

- Computer literacy with skills in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, with good keyboard skills

- The ability to manage high workloads and organise logically and methodically

- The ability to prioritise workload with conflicting priorities effectively

- Confidence dealing with internal and external contacts at all levels

- The ability to work under pressure and still maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills

- Willingness to use initiative but also able to use own judgement when issues

- The ability to maintain complete confidentiality at all times, complying with GDPR regulations
