Maintenance Tradesman

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced maintenance manager to manage the maintenance program for a large portfolio of residential properties across the south Cheshire region. To work alongside an established team of property professionals, you will report into and support the Business Manager in all aspects of pro-active and reactive property maintenance, and help facilitate the smooth move-in/move-out process for existing and prospective tenants.
Daily responsibilities:
* Carrying out all maintenance and repair tasks unsupervised to a high standard
* Supporting with gardening and driving duties
* Identifying faults and taking remedial action where safe and appropriate
* Carrying out regular maintenance programmes for systems/equipment onsite e.g. fire alarm testing
* Undertaking painting and decorating, ensuring decorative standards are maintained throughout the year
* Carrying out small quoted and reactive works such as painting, minor plumbing, joinery, carpet fitting, ground works, fence repairs, glazing, gutter cleaning and repairs, general handyman tasks etc.
* Help facilitate tenant move in and move out processes, including any necessary paperwork or documents that may need to be provided.
Who we're looking for:
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
You'll have previous experience of working in a general repair or maintenance role, with the practical ability to paint and decorate along with a good understanding of building services such electrical distribution and plumbing - knowledge of statutory requirements would be advantageous. Friendly, trustworthy and approachable, you have excellent customer service skills and an ability to work well within a team or under your own initiative. A polite and courteous attitude - nothing is too much trouble, you're always happy to help the wider team
