The Role

Regional Sales Centre - Assistant Manager - Jewson

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to lead our Regional Sales Centre team at Jewson, based on Kestrel Way, Exeter.

You will assist the Office Manager in maximising profitability through building successful working relationships through leadership of the team and our valued customers. This could see you supporting accounts for national and regional house builders as well as contractors working on infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

First and foremost, you will be responsible for customer experience, ensuring that we provide a high level of support throughout the process, whilst maximising opportunities to increase profitability.
Day to day management the sales centre team using KPI's as well as Identify individual and team training needs
Build strong, personable and professional relationships with customers and suppliers
Develop new customer and existing accounts
Create a performance culture and high colleague engagement
Communicate Company plans, goals and individual objectives.
Act as first line support to Office Manager
Participate in stock management process
Ensure delivery of customer orders is optimised to achieve the highest level of returnWhat we are looking for in an Assistant Office Manager:

Experience in sales and account management is essential for this role
Relevant market and product knowledge isn't essential for this role you need a can do attitude and willingness to learn
You must have experience leading people with the ability to coach and develop a team
Good financial and commercial awareness
IT literate
Ability to create and maintain successful customer relationships
Resilient and confident to manage conflictIf you don't have the relevant product knowledge don't worry! We can train you in this side of the role.
