Talent Acquisition Administrator
Hours of work Temp/perm: 40 hours a week on a fixed term contract/secondment
Location: Wash Barn, Buckfastleigh, Devon
Salary: circa GBP19,000 per annum

What you'll be doing
As our customer base continues to grow, so does recruitment. Our Talent Team focus on bringing new co-owners on board, across all departments - including production, logistics, marketing, finance, farm, commercial, IT and more besides. This role supports our team of three, who sit within the People Team (HR). It's admin-focused, processing all new starter paperwork for co-owners joining Riverford, along with general day-to-day assistance; booking interviews and meeting rooms, coordinating diaries, responding to enquiries via
phone and email, and supporting our busy assessment centres. We're non-stop! You will need to be enthusiastic, friendly, and willing to help out with a number of different tasks in
the department. You will be confident to deal with a range of different people, and some potentially sensitive situations, with professionalism and maturity.As our Talent Acquisition Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting our busy in-house team. Ideally, you will have some experience of recruitment within an agency or in-house environment, and understand the complexity and fast-paced nature of the role.
Your responsibilities:
- Answer and respond to phone and email enquiries
- Maintain and keep the applicant tracking system (ATS) up to date and tidy
- Provide first line support for any queries from candidates and hiring managers in how to use the system
- Send out weekly jobs bulletins, internally and externally, and update co-owner notice boards
- Process new starter paperwork, including right to work checks, creating contracts, IT
notifications, and working closely with payroll to get them set up.
- Work closely with the People Administrator to ensure successful internal candidates receive the correct amended contract details
- Compile Welcome Packs and send out new starter emails
- Add and edit personal information on our HR system
- Complete HR inductions with new starters, ensuring they have a great first impression of the business and come away with a good understanding about Riverford and what it means to be a co-owner
- Ensure all necessary paperwork has been captured at induction
- Book interviews with candidates as required, ensuring rooms are booked and calendar
invitations are sent
- Own the jobs inbox, responding and directing enquiries
- Help with KPI data and reporting when needed
- Provide support to the broader People Team; be willing to help out with ad-hoc tasks such as setting up for staff events, helping out with general enquiries that come into the office
- Creating and processing purchase orders and invoices
-To respect the confidential nature of the work and protect personal information in accordance with data protection regulations and policies in place
Skills & experience:
- High attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport quickly, and put people at ease
- Good verbal and written communication skills; comes across as positive and friendly in
person and over the phone
- IT proficient, being able to use Excel at an intermediate level and grasp systems quickly
- Ideally experience within a similar role with experience using an applicant tracking system
(ATS) or customer relationship management (CRM)
