We are looking to recruit a HR Assistant to assist with providing a professional, effective and confidential HR service to support a growing business.
Main Duties:
- Provide full, timely and efficient HR administrative support.
- Support the recruitment process including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and conducting/recording pre-employment checks in accordance with current legislation, safer recruitment and School policy.
- Maintain HR System including adding new starters and change of details, adding benefit data etc.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to staff regarding School policies and procedures in a confidential and sensitive manner.
- Ensure that all new support staff complete the induction programme.
- Liaise with line managers to ensure probation periods are effectively monitored and reviewed.
- Keep absence and holiday records up to date for all staff. Liaise with the HR Advisor to ensure that return to work interviews are completed where necessary.
- Complete, upload and forward payroll notifications to the payroll department in an accurate and timely manner including, timesheets, contract changes, absence information and maternity paperwork.
- Performing duties and attending events during the evening and on the weekends is required, very occasionally, and with notice.
Essential Skills
- At least part CIPD qualified or equivalent.
- Effective and efficient administration experience.
- Experience of working in Human Resources.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to relate appropriately to people at all levels.
- Problem solving skills and ability to use initiative.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and telephone/email etiquette.
- Good IT skills particularly MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
