THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're proud to be supporting an established FMCG company whos' multi award-winning brand has an inarguable reputation synonymous with luxury, hand craftmanship and high quality, from ingredients to production methods, and can be found in major retail multiples and independents across the UK.
To support their growth, we are seeking to appoint an experienced FMCG National Account Manager or Category Manager with an entrepreneurial mind set to join a passionate and long-standing team of one of the Regions' most successful FMCG businesses.
THE PACKAGE:
Base salary to GBP50,000 + Company Car + Profit Share.
THE NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER ROLE:
You will be responsible for managing the company's largest accounts within major multiples, through regular contact and face to face meetings. Working closely with Category Buyers in driving forward the branded and own label ranges, introducing, and creating new product.
Previous experience at a National Account Manager or Category Manager level, dealing with or buying for, major retail multiples such as M&S, Waitrose, Tesco, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and confident in producing and delivering key presentations to buyers, strategic promotional and range planning, category development and Joint Business Planning. Creating and providing forecasting and sales analysis to relevant departments, negotiation of pricing, margins and supporting the brand image and values in store.
In addition to building on existing FMCG relationships, you will be responsible for the strategic planning of National Account new business acquisition within Major Retail Multiples and larger regional independents in a competitive market. Opening new doors, creating new business opportunities and relationships to deliver positive growth.
You will enjoy being an integral part of the business and NPD, using your knowledge of the market, customer buying trends and needs, in the creation and planning of new ranges of branded and own label products
THE PERSON:
* A background in FMCG and experience of large retail multiples.
* A knowledge of chilled and/or ambient product supply or purchase preferred.
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a National Account Management, Category Management or similar position
* Skilled at presenting and have strong business acumen
* Excellent communication and negotiating skills
* Have an entrepreneurial mind set.
