As the industry leader in water technology, our client is growing and need talented and ambitious people to help continue to protect the world's most vital resource.

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join its industry leading sales team in the North of England. You will be responsible for leading a group of sales professionals on strategic current and prospective customers to help define key business decisions, and to recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales in assigned areas.

You will be joining a division that is predominantly serving the global Primary Metals, Power and Chemical industries. This position is focused on creating a chemical management strategy to support our customer's site programs, including coordination of field trials to maximize production and processing capability with a focus on industrial water treatment predominantly related to Cooling water, Boiler water and Waste water.

Responsibilities include:

Obtaining orders and establishing new accounts
Planing and organizing daily work/diary
Managing field development of platform projects.
Call on existing and potential customers
Analyze customer needs, requirements and strategic plans recommending solutions with Company programs.
Communicate to keep management informed through regular activity reports and communications.

The minimum qualifications the succesful candidate will have include:

Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.).
Typically 8-10 years of successful technical sales and sales management experience.
Previous related-industry experience.
