Buyer

Do you have significant purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment? Does the opportunity to work with a well-established business that is going through a period of exciting, progressive change excite you?
We have an opportunity for a tenacious and ambitious Buyer to join a busy procurement team on a permanent basis. You will manage the supplier base from a strategic and operational perspective to drive value and ensure on-time delivery.
As part of this role, you'll:
* Supplier management including sourcing new suppliers
* Purchasing commodities at the best price whilst not compromising on quality
* Assist in implementing new procurement processes and continually looking at areas for improvement
* Account management of key subcontractors
Ideally, you'll have:
* Proven experience within similar role and environment
* Strong negotiation skills
* Ability to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
