Are you looking for a diverse role that is fun, stimulating and rewarding every day?

We are looking to recruit warm, flexible and motivated Weekend Support Workers to join our friendly staff team and provide person-centred support to residents living at Hall Lane, our supported living service in Cookridge, Leeds. This vibrant service in Cookridge, Leeds provides quality care and support to young adults who have learning disabilities, some of whom are on the autistic spectrum and have complex needs. No two days will be the same at this service in Alcester, Warwickshire as our residents love engaging in a range of exciting activities such as swimming, going for walks, cooking, creative arts, listening to music and going to the gym.

Your role will include:

- Providing personal care, administering medication and helping with other domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning,
- Supporting the tenants to maximise their sense of wellbeing and independence through tailored, ongoing care and support,
- Work to make a positive difference in the tenants' lives and promote their independence at every step, whilst enabling to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life,
- Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes,
- Part time hours (12 hours per week) to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service.

You will have the opportunity to undertake the responsible role of being a Key Worker/Co-worker. This will enable you to plan alongside members of the person's circle of support to enable individuals to be happy, healthy and to be successful in achieving their wishes and aspirations. Our person centred planning meetings and processes are co-produced with the people we support and their families to promote a unified approach. Together we set meaningful and aspirational goals which Key Workers have a particular responsibility to work towards. This will provide you with a great experience to enable you to develop skills which can underpin a successful career in adult social care.

The ability to support people who can express their needs though challenging behaviour at times is essential. We are looking for candidates from all walks of life. No previous care experience is essential, just a passion for providing person-centred care and support and working in a bright, friendly environment! Full training is provided by our Creative Support Training Academy, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.

The service has the benefits of being situated on the edge of the countryside overlooking the local golf course, with easy access to commute to the centre of Leeds. It is easily accessible by car, bus routes from Leeds centre and from Horsforth train station.

Benefits of working with Creative Support:

- Free 24/7 counselling and employee support programme,
- Support to complete the nationally recognised Care Certificate,
- Competitive pay and a pension with company contribution and 28 days annual leave,
- Company paid enhanced DBS for all staff,
- All our staff are supported 24/7 by our out of hour's on call teams.
