Facilities Caretaker
Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630 (1430 Friday)
Weekends will be required on occasion and will be paid at an overtime rate
Wrexham Area
Temp - Perm for the right candidate
GBP20,000 per annum
The role will be responsible for carrying out a range of General Maintenance for our site. The work can range from simple building maintenance to plumbing, carpentry and painting. As the Caretaker, it is your job to carry out those repairs so having a broad range of craftsmanship and practical skills will prove useful.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:
Operations
General repairs including plumbing and carpentry.
Minor building fabric repairs, for example walls, skirting boards, doors.
Painting and decorating.
Minor electrical work such as changing light bulbs, ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order, running and tidying cables.
Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces, car park and bin storage areas.
Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs.
Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks (fire alarm tests, emergency lighting tests, etc.)
Shifting furniture or equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work orders
Comply fully with Health, Safety & Environmental policiesPeople & Culture
Ability to resolve problems and adhere to health and safety guidelines
Being resourceful and self-motivated
Proactive, with a see it, do it attitude
Physically strong - capable of working with machinery or moving heavy equipment
Being flexible
Good communication skillsEnvironmental, Safety, Risk & Compliance
To be committed to a strong EHS culture on site.
To adhere at all times to Health & Safety / Environmental Statutory and Company Rules and Regulations
Requirements of Role:
Essential:
A minimum of 2 years' working experience in a similar role.
Solid experience with plumbing, joinery and electrical systems.
Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
Extremely organized with good communication skills.
Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
