Gammies Groundcare Forfar (Part of A. M. Phillip) is recruiting for a Part Time Accounts Assistant
The Role
Gammies Groundcare are seeking to employ a Part Time semi-qualified accounts assistant (approx. 20hrs per week) to work within their busy Forfar Office. This role will involve working closely with the Admin team, Director and Group Financial Controller; initially part-time there may be opportunity to expand this as the role develops.
The Company
At Gammies we have over 50 years of knowledge and experience supplying products and services to our customers. We specialise in supplying Horticultural and Agricultural Machinery, Spare Parts, Accessories and Service to fulfil our customer's requirements. Giving advice and making sure you have the right machine for the task you require is our prime aim and should a visit to our premises be required to do this - "No Problem".
Our reputation is built on quality, excellent service, friendly staff, good value and a clear goal to support our customers.
The Person
The role is depot based and we require someone with Account's experience. Candidates must be able to work on their own and as part of a team with the ability to communicate at all levels.
Key skills required:
1. Accounts experience with Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Nominal Ledger transactions.
2. Bank reconciliations and cash allocations.
3. Supplier Payments.
4. Credit control.
5. Ability to work autonomously or with a team.
6. Attention to detail and communication at all levels within the business.
7. Good work ethic to ensure required tasks are completed within a timely fashion.
Desired skills
1. Knowledge of Ibcos Gold desirable although full training will be available if required.
2. Microsoft office knowledge; especially with MS Excel and key functions within.
