Are you an outgoing and friendly individual that enjoys interacting with people and providing high-quality customer service? If that's a yes, then a position as Customer Service Advisor within Rydon's vibrant and supportive Contact Centre in Dartford could be the right opportunity for you.

Who are Rydon?

Rydon is a successful construction and maintenance company creating and improving communities for the benefit of current and future generations. For over 40 years, we've recruited talented and innovative people to build and maintain homes, schools, hospitals, student accommodation and more. You will be working in our maintenance division where we use the latest technology to provide a range of expert planned and responsive maintenance services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, health and social care sectors.

Job Purpose

As a Customer Service Representative you'll be at the front line of our business speaking with our customers. You will be taking inbound calls from our customers reporting repairs and each call can be very different. You will be trained to effectively engage with residents and clients to help diagnose faults and raise appointments for skilled engineers to subsequently carry out the repairs. You will make sure customers feel like the number one priority and are fully informed throughout the repairs process. You don't need to be an expert in building repair or maintenance, we're looking for great communicators with a pro-active approach and high attention to detail. Whether you're new to working in a contact centre, or a seasoned pro, we'll help you reach your potential.

We'll give you all the training you need. For your first three months the role will focus on developing your skills in customer service, and in developing a basic technical knowledge to help you begin to diagnose repair needs. You'll have people around you to support you, regular coaching and training updates to make sure you're always at the top of your game. As you develop in the role you will have the opportunity to progress your way through our structured grading programme: there are four grades within the role and with your increased knowledge and responsibility you will also have the opportunity to increase your salary as you achieve each grade.

From day one you'll get:

A competitive starting salary of GBP19,500 per annum, along with 20 days holiday.

Incentives and recognition for your performance

Full training, ongoing coaching and support

Employee discount scheme saving you money on products/services

Company pension

Access to an Employee Assistance and Wellbeing Programme

Flexible benefits for you to choose from including the ability to increase your annual leave

Opportunities to progress your career across the business

Paid day off to volunteer with charities or causes important to you

We're committed to helping you develop a long and rewarding career with us. To ensure you have all the skills you need to succeed, we'll provide you with excellent training and plenty of support throughout your time at Rydon.

This position based at our office in Dartford, Kent and is offered on a full time permanent basis. Working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Experience Required

To join our fun and energetic team all you need is a passion for great customer service, be confident communicating verbally, self-motivated with a great personality and motivated to help people and solve problems.

Previous experience of working in a contact centre is not necessary, though you will need to demonstrate great communication skills, good attention to detail, enjoy talking to customers on the phone and the ability to work as part of a team.

Additional Information

As a well established, progressive company we are committed to attracting and retaining individuals by offering an excellent benefits package that includes a wide range of core and voluntary benefits.
