Marketing Manager - up to one year fixed term to cover maternity leave
Kedleston Group Ltd ("Kedleston") is an independent group of schools/homes for children with a range of special educational needs. We are looking for a dynamic marketing manager to join the organisation for a period of 10 months to cover maternity leave.
The post holder will ensure that the Group's ethos is clearly articulated in interactions with colleagues, customers and potential customers.
A competitive salary is on offer starting from GBP35,000 per year, dependent on experience and skills. The role is attached to our Stockport office with some travel required to our schools and children's homes. You will be part of a small and hugely passionate strategic partnerships and commercial team.
Working with the Strategic Partnerships Director and wider Commercial Team you will help develop strategic business growth plans to drive new business across our schools and homes.
You will lead the organisation's Marketing Strategy and work with key people inside and outside the organisation to raise the profile of Kedleston and drive business growth.
Through engagement with Local Authorities and other key stakeholders you will support the schools and homes as well as the corporate commercial team in various business development and marketing focussed initiatives aimed at increasing referrals, new service developments and raising of local and national profile.
You will also develop, implement, track and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels to drive our growth plan and improve our targeting of LAs and you will contribute to the ongoing development and monitoring of external relationships, focusing on our Top 20 customers and generating more business from them.
Your role will see you contribute to the ongoing development and monitoring of Kedleston's profile and brand management and you will be responsible for ensuring our website remains up to date, current and relevant.
You will be a highly visible resource within the schools and homes, engaging with local senior leadership, staff and young people to ensure 'good news' stories and other information is regularly obtained and updated to the website and shared as appropriate on social media platforms..
You will keep up-to-date about developments and changes in Special Education and the Care of Children and Young People to influence our service delivery and model of care which ultimately drives our marketing campaigns.
Additionally you will have responsibility for supporting key relationship development, managing marketing campaigns, organising and attending events and hosted networking, digital marketing, literature and stationery, marketing strategy and auditing.
Key skills and experience
* Proven marketing skills, ideally in education / care of young people.
* Experience of working in support of business development / commercial teams
* Experience of presenting to groups and on one to one basis.
* Energy to develop our brand and presence in the market.
* Proven track record in the use and application of social media for business and in the development of digital marketing campaigns.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Have strong interpersonal skills
* Creative and energetic
* Be able to work on own initiative and be pro-active.
* Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
* Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
* Confident and proficient in the use of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
* Ideally experience of using a CRM, Lead Forensics and products such as Mail Chimp or similar
