One of the UKs most progressive school networks are looking for a highly experience SEN Learning Assistant for their Devon campus. The role will be to work on a 1-1 basis with a KS2 female pupil who has complex physical and medical needs. The pupil is learning mainstream education but needs support with transition to secondary, engagement with other pupils, mentoring and learning guidance. The pupil is also supported by a healthcare assistant that cover all medial needs throughout the school day. The day would start at 8am when you would meet the pupil and healthcare assistant in Newton Abbot for the journey in a dedicated transport service to the Plymouth Campus. At the Plymouth campus you would assist the pupil with her educational and emotional needs whilst accompanied by the healthcare assistant through all lessons. The transport would take you all back to Newton About to arrive home at 4pm. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role starting in early September 2021 on a long term basis with a view to becoming permanent. Full training around the specific needs of this role will be given For this role it is essential that you - " Are an experienced SEN LSA with a background in supporting pupils with complex physical needs " Are able to commit to full-time, long-term work from start of September 2021 " Have or are prepared to get a new DBS in process that needs to be on the update service.
