A successful accountancy firm based in Redditch are looking to add to their team with a successful new Payroll Clerk.
Overview of the role for Payroll Clerk:
* To work as part of a team processing Payroll efficiently and accurately
* Compliance of UK legislation and internal company policies
* Compliance of internal and external audit controls
* Build and develop excellent business working relationships and deliver excellent customer service
* Working with the wider payroll team as part of a team to participate with projects, process improvements, company objectives and assist in driving the business strategies forward
Key Responsibilities for Payroll Clerk:
* To process weekly/monthly payrolls as part of a large payroll team, ensuring successful BACS submission, working to strict, set and agreed deadlines
* Have a thorough understanding of all aspects of payroll from start to finish
* Keep up to date with current and future legislation
* Completion & submission of monthly PAYE
* Experience of all year-end requirements
* Dealing with internal and external queries
* To assist in producing documented procedures for all payroll activities
* Excellent customer service and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
* Pro-active in identifying changes to payroll, anticipating and managing implications and impact of any change
* Managing and maintaining clear and informative communication
Experience Required for Payroll Clerk:
* Proven years experience of working in a Payroll Department
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Ability to work as a Team Player
