Conveyancing Assistant - Job Description
Role: Conveyancing Assistant
Job Type (permanent, full time etc): Permanent, Full time
Location: Blacon, Chester
Salary: up to GBP24,000 depending upon experience
Reporting line: Team Leader
ROLE:
To work as part of a team dealing with Conveyancing for New Build Developments nationwide. The person doing this role complete prescribed tasks in the Conveyancing process, provides support to Conveyancers and communicates with purchasers and staff at the Developers.
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
Knowledge of the Conveyancing process will be an advantage, although full training and ongoing support will be given. The kind of individuals who will succeed in this role will be:

* Able to complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner;
* Able to work at pace and focus on "getting the job done";
* Able to work to a deadline;
* A good communicator, being able to communicate and interact with purchasers and developers, as well as other members of the team;

RESPONSIBILITIES
* To complete administrative tasks as part of the Conveyancing process, including opening files, checking Client ID, supporting Conveyancers to get cases ready to exchange of contract and completion, keeping the Client and Developer informed of progress and dealing with queries from both.
* To undertake post completion work including registrations
* Provide accurate and and timely quotes to potential new customers;
* To support Conveyancers in the maintenance of files by effective file management.
* To ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently and politely and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer.
* To use the correct Practice procedures and systems in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm's standards and legal requirements.
* To improve and enhance the firm's reputation by effective liaison with existing clients.
* To provide general support as necessary to the rest of the team.
