Sales Engineer- Water industry
Become the Lead Sales Engineer / Account Manager for a major component supplier, as they seek to establish and grow their presence in the water industry. A fantastic prospect for the right person.
If you know your way around the water industry and have a technical sales background, this is an opportunity well worth considering.
I'm working for one of the UK's leading industrial components suppliers; a company that's not only a major distributor, but also has its own electrical custom design and build shop.
They see the water industry as a key growth market and in fact they've made inroads already, having recently won a 7-figure C&I contract with one of the leading utilities.
Their industry accreditations are in place, they have an excellent reputation and the scene's properly set for you to take things to the next level.
Strategic sales and more
To sum this role up, you'll be managing the strategic conversation with major water industry companies, so that you can identify and create business opportunities.
Ultimately, of course, it'll be about winning tenders, but en route there'll be a significant product management aspect, working with the design team to develop sector solutions.
Much of the focus will be on control and instrumentation technology, adapted to the water environment. The company's custom capabilities provide a great winning edge here.
You won't need me to spell out the nuts and bolts of strategic business development, which will naturally be integral to this senior level role.
As water sector 'champion', you'll be part of a professional, supportive commercial team, which includes a business analyst dedicated to the water industry.
It's a terrific opportunity to impact on a well-known international business and to grow a category into a division.
You
I'm looking for an experienced Sales Engineer / Account Manager who's used to discussing strategic issues, requirements and solutions with key figures in the water industry.
You'll need a good grasp of the technical dimensions, especially around control and instrumentation, power and procurement procedures.
Your track record includes bid management, contract negotiation and key account management. And relationship building is central to what you do.
Alongside this, you'll need commercial vision; the ability to steer product / solution development and position the company as a strong partner to the sector.
Where could this lead?
You'll be the company's sector specfifc Sales Engineer. They're strongly committed to the model and you'll be developing it, potentially for rollout to other market sector roles.
This opens the door to a potential leadership position. Beyond this, there'll be excellent opportunities to grow your business sector and with it, your team.
The company pays well, will invest in your training and development, and will back you long-term to realise their potential in the water industry.
