Part Time Accountant - Stevenage
GBP30-35,000 pro rata
Our client is an exciting growing accountancy practice based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire with clients nationwide. They offer a comprehensive service that guides clients through the complex world of finance. They work with a variety of interesting clients in all different shapes and sizes, making it an exciting environment to work in.
Role:
Due to continued growth our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team part time, 2 days a week. You can work from home; however, the client expects at least one or two office visits per month to check in with the team.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years' experience and ideally be Qualified at ACA, ACCA level.
The client is looking for experience from practice backgrounds and less industry.
As a Accounts Assistant, you will need to have a calm focus while dealing with high priority workloads and be able to delegate clearly and confidently.
The candidate needs to have run a portfolio of clients, where they have been a manager of a portfolio and managed clients directly.
Responsibilities:
Preparation and review of limited company accounts
To work as an overall assistant to the Accounts Team, assisting with background admin
Review all VAT returns and manage queries from clients
Submission of all VAT returns Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of FRS105 and FRS102 (Dealing with micro accounts)
Experience and great knowledge of Xero (essential)
Experience and of XeroTax (not essential, but preferable)
Experience of ReceiptBank would be useful, however not essential
Experience of Xavier, Spotlight Reporting, Accountancy Manager would be useful, not essential
