GMA are delighted to be working with a market leader in the field of engineered sealing products and services. As an independent global manufacturing, sales and service business they are able to offer unique know how and competent on-site consultancy services from over 60 countries world-wide.

Customers are made up of leading companies belonging to the manufacturing sector to include O & G, marine, energy, chemical, food and beverage, pharma and automotive.

Due to their exciting growth plans they are looking to appoint a Key Account Manager for their Northwest location.

The Role

As the Key Account Manager you will be the customer's main point of contact for all commercial matters including enquiries, sales of new products, services and general day to day account management responsibilities.

The position is central to maximising all possible customer spend through upselling of mechanically engineered products and services, ensuring good levels of customer satisfaction, through developing strong customer relationships. This is an office-based role with regular face to face customer meetings daily.

Key responsibilities include

* Generation of new enquiries for full product and service portfolio, from both existing and new customers

* Regular weekly external customer facing meetings to build good rapport/customer relationships

* To prioritise sales enquiries to quotations

* Proactively update customers on their live enquiries

* In conjunction with sales admin making sure contract review is completed to high standards

The Candidate

Ideally , the successful candidate will have the following experience, qualifications and attributes

* Be based in the Northwest commutable to office

* Have a mechanical engineering background (either apprentice trained, degree educated, HNC, or self-taught)

* Have experience of working for a manufacturing business within commercial/sales/applications

* Have had experience of dealing with end user customers in offering technical/engineering-based products and/or solutions.
