Due to growth a new exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cost Accountant to join the NPD Finance Team at our Batley bakery for one of the UK's most loved brands, Fox's Biscuits; makers of the Party Ring, Chunkie Cookies, Chocolatey, Fabulously and many more.

The Cost Accountant will be take the lead role in the costing process, specifically with responsibility for the preparation and control of NPD and EPD costing work. They will implement costing in SAP, manage and develop the costing process ensuring full transparency of assumptions. They will build relationships with multiple stakeholders including NPD team, Factory Management, Site Finance Teams, to deliver our bakeries (Batley and Kirkham) costings to agreed timings. They will also understand Product Master Data within the business and support the NPD Finance team to ensure timely and accurate data set up.

The successful candidate will already be working in a Costing position or an accounting role with exposure to Costing within the manufacturing sector. They will have excellent numeracy and analytical skills, along with proven business partnering skills with the ability to influence and challenge, has good time management and organisational skills, can work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with excellent IT skills including Excel.

This is where you come in???

NPD Finance provides all costing and master data support and reporting for the whole of Fox's. The team work closely with the Factory Business Partners, Commercial Finance and Supply Chain Finance looking at costing and master data within operations as a whole for Fox's. NPD Finance controls the NPD costing process and therefore provides a key pivotal point of contact for all functions involved in product development, including the development team, pack tech, procurement, marketing and commercial finance.

As the Cost Accountant you will manage the completion of all costings to agreed deadlines, manage the process and liaise with project managers to ensure all processes are followed and manage the costing requirements with NPD/Factory Finance and Production Teams in Batley and Kirkham.

You'll work with NPD to streamline costing process and delivery of information to support the costings and Project manage spreadsheets with SAP to include Project Management, project definition and scoping, Report Development, Testing, Rollout and Training.

You will own the costing tracker and future workload, from a Finance Team Perspective and actively manage the workload to deliver requests on time. Along with develop the costing process to provide a full and complete view of the NPD pipeline and ensure the business has full transparency of assumptions behind costings.

As the Cost Accountant you will understand and work with Master Data requirements. Ensure the Site Finance Managers are aware of activity at their site and are aligned with costing assumptions, providing group and local reporting as and when required. As well as support the NPD Finance team on the ERP Implementation.

About you

* Excellent communication skills and an ability to influence outside own area.

* Project management experience.

* CIMA/ACCA qualified or qualified through relevant work experience within manufacturing.

* Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to communicate with people from all area and levels.

* An organised self-starter, who enjoys improving and developing situations whilst displaying the ability to prioritise workload.

* Proactive with an enthusiasm and willingness to challenge.

* The ability to critique and challenge information.

* Inquisitive, questioning and interested in how budgets/costs work and fit together

* Highly numerate, accurate with acute attention to detail.

* Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.

* Strong Excel skills.
