Training Area Operative 2103
An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Otterburn Camp as a Training Area Operative. As the Training Area Operative you will be responsible for the maintenance of the military training area. This exciting opportunity will suit someone who enjoys the outdoors and is looking for a new challenge supporting our military.
Key Responsibilities
* Rural Estate Maintenance Works - Fence repairs, tree planting, stone track repairs and maintenance.
* Preparing / handover Training Areas for use
* Range Maintenance (targets and firing areas)
* Grounds maintenance
* Driving and operating fleet vehicles / plant and machinery
* To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities adhere to safe systems of work
* Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation
What you can do
* Rural Estate Maintenance
* Understand Range use and operation, train to hand over facilities.
* Have basic labouring / construction /maintenance skills
* Have a full drivers licence valid in the United Kingdom.
* Ability to operate plant and machinery (holds valid certificate)
* Knowledge of Health and Safety (risk assessments, manual handling, COSHH, PPE, safe systems of work)
* Basic IT skills
* Willingness to undertake further training
