About the role
Our client is now recruiting for a Housing Officer on a full time and permanent basis to join their Neighbourhoods team in Gloucester.
The purpose of the role is to support their aim of valuing their customers by meeting housing and related needs.
You will manage complex tenancy issues including property condition and ASB cases. You will work independently in challenging situations and with changing priorities striving to add value to everything you do.
You will provide information to new and existing customers which will enable them to manage and sustain their tenancy and promote empowerment of customers to play an active role in shaping standards and service across the Group
About you
It is essential that you have knowledge and experience of housing and tenancy law; including succession, mutual exchange, assignments and ending tenancies as well as experience of tenancy or leasehold management and enforcement.
You will have a demonstrable record of delivering excellent customer service and experience of working in a customer facing environment.
Excellent administration and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise effectively and manage own demanding workload is a strong requirement for this position.
In addition, you must have exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to suit a variety of audiences including customers, shareholders, councillors and other external agencies and partners.
You may be required to travel to different sites within the business, therefore a full clean driver's license is essential.
