THE ROLE:
Reporting into the General Manager the Driver Trainer will be responsible for inducting, coaching, training and assessing the Class 1 & Class 2 Driver workforce to ensure they consistently meet high standards.
Delivering Inductions for new drivers joining the business.
Creating, reviewing and updating SOPs.
Accompanying & assessing drivers whilst on the road & providing feedback/training where appropriate.
Upload SOP's into the system and keep the database updated.
Assist in accident investigations & near miss incidents - where appropriate.
Monitor MPG output and improve efficiencies via coaching, training & development.
Use of Excel spreadsheets/systems to create reports for senior management.
THE PERSON:
A time-served Class 1 and Class 2 Driver Trainer with CPC status (ESSENTIAL)
DVLA Fleet Driver Trainer approved (DESIRABLE)
Front-foot & hands-on leadership style.
Able to liaise from shop-floor to Board level.
Keen to leave a lasting impact and legacy on the wider business.
