OUTSIDE IR35 - This Management Accountant position is with an internationally operating manufacturer of chemical products. They are looking for a Management Accountant to be focussed on a Finance Project that will optimise their finance systems (SAP) and processes. This role is initially 6-month contract to start ASAP, with interview dates scheduled W/C 28th June 2021.
This company is growing on a site of around 250 people with the support of a globally operating business. Millions of pounds continue to be invested on this site in order to maintain their status as a leader within the sector. This role is the opportunity to implement business process improvement within a finance department, with successful implementation leading a large expected performance increase within the business.
Responsibilities of the Management Accountant;
Improve inventory and purchase to pay business cycles by challenging existing process, identifying improvements and working with team to implement changes
Develop and execute a plan for regular and accurate updates to inventory costing data in SAP, using the procurement team to support the process
Identify areas where time can be saved during the month end close process and implement suggested improvements
Management Accountant will ensure accuracy of sales and product cost data within sales reporting by aligning management accounts to sales reports. Work with sales team to develop and improve sales reporting data.To be successful as the Management Accountant it would be an advantage to have experience working on Finance Projects / Business Optimisation utilising a SAP System. It would be a benefit if candidates had relevant qualifications, such as ACA or CIMA. Candidates need to be prepared to challenge stakeholders on standard / dated processes in order to promote a positive transformation.
