Cloud Architect - GCP

We are looking to hire a passionate, creative and curious Cloud Architect with the ability to lead customer projects and engagements. This role will help drive the delivery of a variety of projects for customers, including new development and the modernization of existing cloud infrastructure and applications. You will be part of a team designing, automating, and deploying services on behalf of our customers. We have deep experience applying DevOps techniques in virtually every industry. Every week is different and the problems you will be challenged to solve are constantly evolving. We know and understand DevOps. We help build and create automation that enables our customers to save time and other resources.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with customer to align business goals to technology solutions in a variety of projects
• Designing well-architected, documented, and tested software and infrastructure solutions that meet customer requirements
• Architecting solutions for migrations, containerization, and transformation tools and projects to customers and internal teams
• Writing infrastructure as code
• Serving as a technical mentor to other team members
• Serving as escalation for environment troubleshooting
• Identifying and addressing bugs, deficiencies, and performance bottlenecks
• Participating in an agile delivery team, helping to ensure the technical quality of the features delivered across the team, including documentation, testing strategies, and code review
• Leading and presenting technology discussions to client
• Helping to determine technical feasibility of solutions for business requirements
• Meeting customer SLAs and managing communication in case of issues
• Configuring and maintaining backup, monitoring, and alerting systems for multiple clients
• Interacting with teams and customers in different time zones for ensuring 24??7 support
• Developing advanced Linux/Windows deployment and management automation (Bash/PowerShell/Python/Chef/Ansible)
• Remaining up-to-date on emerging technologies and architecture and propose ways to use them in current and upcoming projects

Skills & Experience

• Experience leading technical projects including designing solutions based on business and technical requirements through implementation
• Able to comfortably design, architect, and oversee implementation of technical solutions and projects
• Proficient in networking and security
• Extensive experience of creating platforms on GCP is essential
• Advanced expertise of common cloud services (Databases, Containers, Compute, Storage, Serverless etc.)
• Service architecture and advanced container experience in Docker and / or Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD and code management tools (Git, TFS, Jenkins etc.)
• Extensive experience with Terraform
• In-depth knowledgeable of configuration management frameworks such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers
• Experience in performance management of database engines (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)
• Some experience with any of the following C#, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go
• 2 to 3 industry recognized certifications (GCP, Kubernetes, Chef, Microsoft, etc)
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and their impact on design considerations (HIPAA, PCI, ITAR, etc.)
