Repairs and Maintenance Supervisor

Our client, a renowned Public Sector organisation in Bournemouth, is seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will report to their Business Operations Manager

Responsibilities of the Repairs Supervisor include:

Leading and managing operational trade staff and subcontractors, overseeing daily operations completing repairs within target response times including right first time
Directly supervising up to 12 trade operatives to include, absence, holiday, performance through the IPRD process, recruitment, training and development linked to the corporate business plan
Ensuring a clear, consistent and fair management approach, familiarising yourself with, and acting within the organisations policies and procedures
Regularly and effectively delivering team meetings, tool box talks and safety briefings one-to-one or on a group basis
Providing an efficient customer complaints service ensuring complaints are dealt with in accordance with policies and procedures and managed through to a satisfactory resolution
Ensuring risk assessments are undertaken prior to carrying out works to comply with all current health and safety legislation
Compiling works specifications, obtaining quotes from contractors, pricing works and checking and authorising invoices
Carrying out pre and post inspections of repairs ensuring high standards of work and customer satisfaction
Monitoring and managing work in progressRequirements of the Repairs Supervisor include:

Minimum of 2-3 years experience in direct supervision of trade operatives and sub-contractors
Experience of delivering an effective repairs service, ensuring continuous improvement and value for money
Experience of positively resolving customer complaints
