We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR Administrator - Maternity Cover to join our team based in Portsmouth. You will join us on a full-time, maternity cover contract basis, working 40 hours per week, 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP21,000 per annum plus benefits.

As our HR Administrator - Maternity Cover, you will provide a professional and efficient administration service to the HR team, supporting the HR department whilst overseeing some reception duties. Most of your role will involve managing the recruitment for all live vacancies across the business, this includes liaising with recruitment agencies and candidates, sending offer letters and employment starter packs.

Key responsibilities of the HR Administrator - Maternity Cover include:

- Providing administrative support to the HR team including recruitment of front-line and office staff; from advertising through to arranging interviews and preparing new starter employment packs, inputting data on the HR database, right to work checks, archiving leavers and sending NEST pension letters

- Generating contracts of employment for new employees and producing any subsequent amendment to contracts where terms and conditions change

- Providing HR support as requested by the HR Business Partner and HR Advisor

- Supporting the Executive Board members with ad hoc tasks as required

- Handling customer phone calls and distributing/taking messages as appropriate

- Opening all incoming mail and distributing it accordingly

- Ensuring outgoing mail is franked and in a timely manner

- Ensuring there is sufficient stationery and refreshments (tea, coffee, sugar, milk,) available for the office by undertaking regular stock checks and replenishing where required

The required skills and qualifications for the HR Administrator - Maternity Cover role:

- Maths & English GCSE 9-4 (A*-C) or Functional Skills Level 2 (provide certificates)

- Previous exposure of working in a recruitment / administrative role

- Experience of delivering excellent customer service both face to face and over the telephone

- Good working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Strong Attention to Detail

- Excellent Time Management Skills

- Confidence and approachability

- Can-do attitude
