Established in 1996, our client is a leading surface design brand with a successful direct to consumer eCommerce business.
Despite our growing success we are a genuine, down to earth, creative bunch with a passion for interior design.
Due to continued high growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced print room manager that is experienced in digital media press, to join our production team.
We are looking for an independent print room manager who is capable of building, managing and growing a team, but also getting hands on with modern digital media printers.
What you'll be doing:
* Drive efficiencies on our processes. Find ways to increase our production flow as we grow.
* Monitor the daily workflow. Align the day-to-day work of the printing team with production benchmarks. Focusing on targets.
* Maintain high levels of quality control, regularly testing print jobs for colour and alignment accuracy.
* Maintain the quality / schedule of the product delivery to meet the final deadline.
* Train and manage the print operator team.
* Liaise with creative and marketing teams to produce bespoke items,
* Coordinate with distribution / purchasing team
* Enforcing strict management protocols. Assisting with hiring, disciplinary procedures, reviews etc.
* Provide leadership, drive and attainment of targets which include reduction in waste, reduction in redo's, hitting the workflow timelines,
* Reporting to senior management
* Ensure print room is kept clean and tidy all time. Ensure team is doing efficient waste management.
Essential Skills - Abilities:
* Wide RIP software experience beneficial
* Experience with HP Latex, Xeikon press'
* High level of experience in volume file handling
* Wide Format experience essential
* Handling multiple large format printers essentialPractical problem solving mindset
* Target driven
* Minimum 2 years of experience in leading a Print room.
* Outstanding knowledge/understanding of printers and their software
* Strong leadership while being a people person with good communication skills.
* Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
* Exceptional planning and project management abilities
* Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
* Confident, driven and dynamic leader.
* Attention to detail
* Problem solver
Salary: GBP30,000.00-GBP33,000.00 per year
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Overtime

* Senior Print: 2 years (required)
