My client is seeking a Data Analyst with a keen interest in data and finance to help drive operational and financial efficiency's throughout the group. This is a full-time, permanent role based in their Witham office.

In this role you will be key in developing or enhancing the company's data reporting systems, taking a key role in driving forward a new data strategy and working closely with the management team to process data into BI tools, that will aid operational efficiency.

Experience in developing and creating clear and concise data visuals for ease of presentation, a passion for problem solving and an ability to interrogate business data to provide insights for internal stakeholders is key to the role.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential:

Identifying gaps in data quality received from third parties in the supply chain.
Create training plans or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to bridge data gaps.
Develop and support reporting processes to monitor data quality improvements.
Use data to find the potential, to tighten up processes, reduce errors and reduce external spending.
Use data to highlight patterns that demonstrate inefficient processes or transport services.
Identify areas to increase efficiency and the automation of manual processes.
Set up and maintain automated data processes.
Produce and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using data reporting tools.
Create data dashboards, graphs and easy to understand visuals.
Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the business.
Mine and analyse large datasets, detailing areas of concern and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool.
Provide competitor benchmarking.Desirable:

Deliver the training to all areas of the business and ensure they are adopted correctly.
Liaise with all parties in the supply chain to fully understand data content.Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent numerical and data analysis skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the use of at least one relational database, for example MS Access or Power BI.
The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows
The ability to carry out data quality control and validation, so that you can interrogate and challenge business data to provide insights for internal stakeholders..
An understanding of data protection issues.
Experience of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques.
The ability to produce clear and concise data visuals for ease of presentation.
Passion for problem solving.
Ability to deal confidently with colleagues and our preferred supply chain.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
