You will either be a qualified nurse or hold a clinical professional qualification within a multi-disciplinary profession and will lead a team of nursing and MDT staff to ensure clinical excellence and outstanding care are delivered at all times.
You will lead by example and inspire those around you to provide exceptional care and operational and clinical excellence on the ward. As part of the management team, you will work with colleagues and senior leaders to lead your team and achieve CQC outstanding.

As a Ward Manager you will have managerial and operational responsibility for your ward and will ensure mechanisms are in place to support, develop and monitor all aspects of performance. This role sits within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) who want to make a difference to the lives of young people. This will be a challenging role but with half of all mental health conditions starting by 14 years of age, one where you really do have the opportunity to transform lives.

You will lead by example and motivate your teams to provide exceptional levels of care to your patients. Where will I be working?
The CAMHs division offers specialised low and medium secure care and supports young people with neuro development disabilities, learning disabilities and complex mental health conditions. We offer a wide range of therapies, from special sensory rooms to art and music suites, together with animal care and the opportunity to work in kitchens and workshops. We recognise that the great majority of our patient group have experienced trauma in their lives and seek to understand the impact of this on their development.
The service has undergone significant transformation in the past 18 months and we are on a journey towards outstanding care.
