Excellent opportunity on offer for someone to join an innovative business who supply their specialist products across the globe. This is an autonomous role, where you will build a team around you.
Do you have experience of product development? Do you have an understanding CAD?
Established over 50 years ago this company design, manufacture and test a range of specialist and bespoke products, that are used across the globe. Due to ambitious growth plans, they have just invested in a brand-new R&D facility and are looking for someone to lead that division and build a team around them.
In this role you will plan and oversee product design/process development from concept through to completion. You will lead R&D staff and liaise with teams throughout the organisation. You will be expected to be proactive and think outside of the box, helping the business find gaps in the market. You conduct tests, experiments and investigations and maintain accurate records, making/procuring products or process prototypes from wood, polymers, elastomers, metals, and other materials.
This role would be ideal for someone who has an inventors mind set, someone that is always thinking outside of the box and likes to take risks. A strong mechanical or scientific engineering background is essential as well as a background in product development or R&D.
