An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager with a Maintenance background to join a leading Manufacturing business based near Selby, North Yorkshire. Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing are exclusively partnering with this business to find a Production Manager who will be involved with managing a team of staff and driving improvements across Production. The business are looking for an individual that has ideally worked in Maintenance before moving into Production.
This role will report into the Head of Operations and the role will take responsibility for hitting the key production KPI's such as On Time delivery rate, RFT and productivity as well as the man-management of staff. You will then work with the Group Continuous Improvement Manager to deliver the strategic improvement projects across the site and work with the team on the shop floor to get their buy-in. The role will be given a lot of autonomy to identify and implement changes and to run the production facility like it is your own. There are opportunities on site to improve the process, supply chain and s.o.p's to save costs and improve efficiencies. You will work closely with all stakeholders in the business and help instil a culture of continuous improvement on site.
Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing would be interested in talking to candidates with the following skills & experience:
*Either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications
*Experienced working in, or running the maintenance function would be ideal
*Strong Continuous Improvement knowledge and experience
*Competent knowledge in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
*Ability to get the buy-in of people on site to implement improvements
