Technical Support Engineer - NHS x3

Our client a large private sector organisation who provide IT support services to NHS sites (GP & Acute) in the South and South West of England require 3 Technical Support Engineers to take over BAU work because of an increase in workload. The is to provide a mixture of Server and Networking skills.

Role:

Effectively monitor the IT Services technology stack to ensure it is meeting the expected levels of service, including recording the results of overnight backup routines and management of media
* Resolve or escalate incidents that are identified with a view to minimising customer impact
* Identify areas of improvement with the operational procedures, including the automation of routine processes
* Answer and resolve incidents raised by customers via the service desk
* Perform routine domain administration functions such as creating new security groups and production of audit reports
* Resolve routine service requests such as the creation of new Windows file storage areas and restoration of data
* Monitoring database performance and reporting issues to the wider database management team to ensure that there are no impacts the customer base, Carry out configuration/installation and reconfiguration of server based applications and associated products
* Provide operational knowledge and experience with the management of Storage Area Networks and compute platforms, experience of Networking Routers, Switches Cisco etc.
* Contribute to project tasks and ensure these are delivered on time
* Create and maintain documentation

Skills Required: Excellent IT Support experience, Server Support Experience, SAN, Networking, Cisco, NHS experience would be of interest.

These are remote home based roles but may require travel to sites in the South/South West of England so candidates will need to be based in that region
