Technical Account Manager offering up to GBP50,000 plus an excellent, uncapped bonus required by a rapidly expanding IT Managed Service Provider. You'll support and manage key client accounts, working closely with IT Management staff and other senior members of client IT Teams.

The Technical Account Manager will grow lead generated new business with organisations based within the Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and North London City areas. The organisation's main clients sit within the healthcare, education and charity sectors, resulting in exceptional stability in spite of the UK's economic challenges.

The Technical Account Manager will join an established Sales & Account Management team, with main responsibilities surrounding relationship management of key accounts already secured by the business, focused on increasing customer expenditure. The role is 80% account management and 20% chasing up warm leads, so exceptional communication skills and a client-service focused mindset is a must. This is key as the Technical Account Manager will work directly with senior, C Suite contacts.

Required Skills and Experience include:

- Experience either in a hands-on technical role or a role where you have been managing relationships within an IT services environment (perhaps account management, project/programme management, enterprise management, solutions, etc)

- Exceptional communication skills and a track record of being able to build and maintain long-lasting client relationships

- Able to meet and exceed set targets in a B2B, customer-facing role

- A good understanding of IT services on a technical level is crucial - not necessarily as an engineer, but as a solution provider

- Solution-focused, cross-selling, consultative sales skills, delivered via service rather than presentation.
