Our client, a market leading company within the Scientific field, are currently seeking to add to their growing team. Based near Warrington, the company are looking for experienced Lab technicians to join their team. These roles will be starting asap and are an ongoing temporary basis with the potential of this going permanent.
The job is paying GBP11.50 per hour, the hours of work are Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00, which will be subject to change to for staggered starts (06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00) to maintain social distancing.
An incredible opportunity has opened for a Quality Control Technician for one of the world leaders in the scientific industry. The company is based in Cheshire and is commutable from Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool, St Helens, Runcorn. and similar locations.
This is a great job opportunity for someone with experience in laboratory and Biological analysis looking to gather further experience within the industry.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Perform quality control testing of raw materials, intermediate and finished goods according to SOPs with regards to product availability and integrity
You will be working in both laboratory and office environments for lab testing and data analysis.
Instrument calibration according to schedule
Leading or taking part in efficiency improvement projects and development projects
Once trained, offer training to new colleagues, and update the training manual
Adhere to OHS policies and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Molecular Biology, Forensic Science qualification to BSc or equivalent industrial experience in a related field is essential
PCR/qPCR experience essential
Experience in DNA technology and capillary electrophoresis is highly desirable
Have experience in a Hazardous production environment preferred but not essential
Experience with continuous improvement and LEAN is desirable, process improvement behaviour with a "never satisfied" attitude.
