Gardener/Ride on Mower Operative/Watchperson

HTS (Property & Environment) Ltd provides housing repairs & maintenance and environmental services for the tenants and residents of Harlow.

Working in the Parks and Landscapes Section, you will undertake a broad range of grounds maintenance work and mechanised operations in public parks, playing fields, housing areas and open spaces. Your duties will include: pruning of shrubs and hedges using shears, secateurs or hand power tools; grass maintenance; planting shrubs, hedges and trees; establishing and maintaining bulbs, floral displays, hanging baskets and other ornamental planting; control of weeds using PA1 and PA6 chemicals; carrying out clearance works on gardens, allotment plots and shrub beds; being a watchperson for tractor/flail operations in public areas adhering to Health and Safety regulations at all times.

You will have a commercial gardening experience, be able to use a ride on mower, along with hand power tools and horticultural machinery. It is also essential that you have knowledge and understanding of COSHH, Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity. An avid team player who can also use own initiative. It is essential that you have a full valid UK driving licence.
