Do you have experience working in property development finance?

We're looking for an experienced finance analyst (ideally qualified accountant or equivalent by experience) with a thorough understanding of the UK residential real estate market.

You'll act as first point of contact for Eastern development team in relation to residential development project appraisals including various financial input and related matters. Our Eastern Development team covers East of England, mostly east of M1/A1 including Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships between the Development and Finance Directorates, while working as a collegiate member of the Development Finance team.

Utilising your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent knowledge of MS Excel, you'll lead on providing timely and accurate management reporting information for your scheme portfolio and assisting in assessing the financial and commercial risks of investment proposals, applying sensitivity and scenario analysis and identifying mitigating actions for risk management.

As an excellent communicator able to effectively maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders you'll act as the principal finance representative at scheme meetings and lead on responding to management accounting queries from regional stakeholders.

With proven experience in property development finance and a good understanding of technical and commercial risks associated to property development, you'll pro-actively support the regional Head of Development Finance in reviewing commercial investment proposals for land acquisitions and development. You'll have experience in the financial modelling of residential development project and be required to conduct financial due diligence, advise on deal structures and draft investment papers.

You'll be expected to be self-starter able to work autonomously and must be able to travel across the region for development meetings including those at construction sites.
