Logistics Operative - 6 Month Contract - Nottingham (Inside IR35)

An urgent role has arisen for a Logistical Operative to join our client in Nottingham on a 6 month contract. The core responsibility for this position is to fulfil parts requests added to our call management system Tesseract, transact parts movement and ensure the correct parts are shipped to local Parcelforce depots for collection. You will also book into the workshop, customer owned equipment for repair, handle warranty parts for engineers and liaise with manufacturers relating to warranty claims. In this role, the need is to ensure all parts are shipped accurately and that this is reflected in the systems used.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Action parts requests on Tesseract, to engineers as deemed by the technical team
  • Ensure Tesseract is up-to-date with regards to parts and action stock takes as required with engineers
  • Book in customer owned equipment for workshop repair using Tesseract
  • Package up and book out on Tesseract completed workshop tickets for return to customer
  • Prepare warranty parts for onward travel to workshop, engineers or return to manufacturer
  • Book in returned parts and liaise with manufacturer/supplier to action any warranty and credit claims
  • Keep up to date with all repairs coming in, ensuring that all warranty parts are returned on time avoiding penalties
  • To positively promote the Field Services Team, acting as a role model through promoting the activities, values and culture of the organisation.
  • Undertake pre-arranged out of hours when required

Essential Skills Required:

  • Must be able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
  • Good planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload appropriately and meet challenging deadlines
  • Good administrative skills
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, safe site working practices
  • Ability to work in and react to a changing environment, and respond pragmatically to problems as they arise
