Our client, a highly prestigious and successful institution is currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting a range of hospitality and function menu items ensuring the required quality & presentation standards are achieved.
Key responsibilities
- Committed to and demonstrate the department's high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times.
- Responsible for and assist in the preparation and presentation food for all hospitality and function events. With particular focus on the management of allergen control process.
- Ensure that all ingredients are used correctly to achieve good portion control, always adhering to the recipe specification.
- Work with the senior team on continual menu development and innovation - assisting and participating in the development of new dishes and have a committed approach to the development of new ideas and food style.
- To assist with stock rotation, stock control and stock take procedures under the direction of the Senior Chefs
- To adhere to all cleaning schedules and routines and ensure all kitchen hygiene standards are continually maintained to the standards required
The Ideal Candidate
- ideally will have banqueting experience of dealing with over 100 covers
- have some private and fine dining experience
- happy to be involved in menu development and innovation
- is calm and collected under pressure
- a self starter and independent
The Benefits
