Role: Kickstart Reception & Customer Service Advisor

Location: Leicester

Salary: GBP9.56ph

Hours of work: 25 hours per week. 3*8-hour shifts (8am - 4pm / 12pm - 8pm) plus one hours training from home. There may be a requirement to demonstrate flexibility and pick-up extra shifts and some weekend shifts will be required. Potential opportunities for 37.5 hours per week available.

THIS IS A 6 MONTH KICKSTART PLACEMENT WHICH IS ONLY OPEN TO CANDIDATES AGED 16-24 YEARS OLD WHO ARE OUT OF WORK AND CLAIMING UNIVERSAL CREDIT. AS PART OF THE SELECTION PROCESS, YOU WILL NEED TO BE CONFIRMED ELIGIBLE BY YOUR JOB CENTRE WORK COACH. UNFORTUNATELY, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CONSIDER CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT MEET THESE CRITERIA FOR THIS ROLE.

Overview of the business:

Our client is the leading provider of student accommodation in the UK, providing homes for 76000 students, across 27 cities. They are excited about the Kickstart scheme and have created dozens of opportunities across the UK. They have ensured that they have systems and processes in place to fully support each kickstarter and enable them to have a positive, valuable placement experience.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring outstanding service is provided throughout the customer journey - from selling a room, through to daily service and welfare support. You will work to achieve KPIs and targets in order to deliver the company purpose of 'creating a Home for Success' for students.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This role will involve reception duties, health and safety, customer service, sales - conducting viewings, complaint handling and managing flat disputes. You will also be responsible for reporting maintenance issues and communicating updates.

Skills that you will develop in the role include:

Customer service, sales, administration as well as communication, organisation and other reception related skills. There is the opportunity to progress within the business and the role.

This role starts at 25 hours per week and at the entry level salary for this role, however, there is a very realistic opportunity to quickly progress and secure more hours and a better salary for people displaying the right attitude towards the business and the role.

Skills & Experience:

They are ideally looking for someone who has experience of working in a customer service role with a high level of variety. You must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and demonstrate an objective, professional and calm approach when handling difficult situations. You will require the ability to build relationships internally and with third party suppliers and must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office.

You will be required to demonstrate flexibility in working hours and to take part in a rota.
