Academics are recruiting hard working and passionate Teaching Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with students with Special Educational Needs, this could be in a mainstream school or in an SEN enviroment. We require Teaching Assistants able to carry out short term, long term, full-time contracts to start ASAP.
This would be suited to someone with previous experience of working in a school support position, ideally with pupils with SEN.
You would be required to support on a 1:1 basis when needed, you may also be asked to provide general support within the classroom.
Many learners may display challenging behaviour and may also suffer with mental health conditions that impact their ability to achieve their potential so the ideal candidate will be calm, empathetic and encouraging.
You will need a clear enhanced DBS to be considered for such a role or be willing to submit one.
