Vacancy Details

We are currently recruiting an Administration Assistant to join our Learning & Development Team (Academy) within the Human Resources Department. This is an Apprenticeship position to be based in our Head Office in Watford, Hertfordshire.

This is a full-time position, and the hours of work are 08:45 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, less 45 minutes unpaid for lunch each day. The Apprenticeship will last 18 months and the successful candidate will achieve a Level 3 qualification. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). This role could lead on to further employment after the qualification has been completed.

This role involves supporting our employees and teams to develop their skills, knowledge and experiences. The apprentice will be part of our Academy team supporting the facilitation of this development by undertaking a variety of administrative tasks.

Duties will include:

* Answering simple queries and redirect other calls appropriately, taking messages where requests are not able to be routed to the relevant person and passing these on

* Dealing with incoming and outgoing post, ensuring correspondence received is logged and distributed accordingly

* Administration of learning and development records ensuring data accuracy on digital systems

* Contacting employees to progress training requests and associated documentation

* General administration support and ad hoc tasks

* Supporting in the organisation of training activities as directed by Academy Team

* Developing awareness of wider VINCI business

* Developing knowledge of VINCI working practices and industry as a whole

* Maintaining a developing level of technical knowledge and understand how this may be applied to meet business and customer needs

The ideal candidate will have:

* Strong communication skills

* Competent skills in numeracy, literacy, and strong ICT (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

* Ability to self-manage and organise your own time

* General admin experience

* GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
