Our client in Northamptonshire has seen some fantastic growth in the past 12 months and are now recruiting for another Supply Planner. The new Supply Planner will join a well-established and dedicated Supply Chain team who worked with global food and beverage products.
Job Role
In your role you will be tasked to engage with all Brand Partners and Vendors, translating their demand plans to ensure they deliver all products OTIF, whilst also reducing waste and offering support to the whole division. A cross functional role, you will be working on a set portfolio of brands where you will be required to create a consist supply of products and maintain strong relationships both externally and internally.
Responsibilities
• Support and deliver on all Supply Chain objectives for the business strategy including; supply planning, ordering, meeting the expected stock holding targets
• Ensure orders are shipped correctly and on time to achieve continuity for the supply of products by working collaboratively with supplies
• The target is to ensure that 99% stock is available at all times
• Work with agreed shipping agents and freight forwarders to manage distribution
• Arrange the importation of goods, collating and checking all documentation is present and correct
• Work with the Technical & Quality Team with regards to product life cycle and regulatory requirements
• Introducing new products to market by collaborating with the Commercial Team
• Manage the ordering process, ensuring MOQ, Stock levels and delivery dates are all achieved
• Ensure Orders are placed, acknowledged, products and pricing are confirmed within the target set by the business
• Report any pricing discrepancies to relevant departments
• Slow & Obsolete SKU Reporting
• Measure monthly supplier performance utilising Supplier Scorecard
• Prevent and manage backorders, expediting or deferring goods where required and support internal departments for backorder releasing
• Continuously monitor stock holding, by working with the wider business to reduce residual inventory
• Manage ongoing supply and deal with any issues as they arise which affect availability of product
• Track and manage supplier performance through regular reviews and take action where necessary
• Address any poor performance and report to Supply Chain Manager
• Work with Finance and 3PL to deal with any delivery issues including damages, incorrect products and payment related issues
• Monitor and check outstanding orders, ensuring all orders are updated correctly
• Work collaboratively across the wider business to improve operational performance
• Monthly reporting as required
Personal Profile
• Experience of Supply Planning within FMCG
• Experience working with the major UK retailers is highly beneficial
• Knowledge and understanding of INCO terms, exporting and importing of goods
• Strong communicator both written and verbally
• Ability to work with a wide range of products
