Mechanical Design Engineer

A Mechanical Design Engineer with experience of Autodesk Inventor and Heavy Fabrication work is sought to work in the Doncaster area

The role involves full lifecycle design from concept to manufacturing. You will design and detail bespoke equipment for use in process-led heavy engineering environments, produce technical material for engineering proposals and quotations and interface with other engineering teams to ensure that the finished machinery meets client specifications. You will also liaise with equipment and materials suppliers to ensure best prices and lead times for delivery.

The successful candidate will be proficient with Autodesk Inventor and be able to produce high-quality 3D models and detailed engineering designs. You will ideally have worked within a Heavy Engineering / Fabrication environment supplying industries such as Oil & Gas, Steel, Chemicals etc. A strong understanding of power transmission principles and structural calculations / FEA are essential. Experience of producing proposals and quotations and an awareness of CE Marking would be a strong advantage. You will need to be qualified to HNC level in Mechanical Engineering and have the ability to prioritise activities on multiple design projects

Hours of work are Hours 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 8.00 to 14:00 on Fridays
