ICELS Occupational Therapist

Career development opportunity for experienced OT's with a minimum of 2-3 years post qualification experience. The successful applicant will be supporting equipment prescribers across Health and Social Care in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. You will be primarily based in Bilborough as part of the Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service (ICELS) Clinical Team and will work 18 hours with the possibility of an additional 4 hours per week; secondments are welcome but please check with your Line Manager prior to applying.

You will be providing advice, guidance, training, problem solving, support with equipment and minor adaptations solutions. The team helps to influence changes, further develop service targets and objectives and works alongside our service providers.

The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be willing to learn and develop new knowledge, be confident in your approach to dealing with challenging situations and negotiating positive outcomes. Ideally, you will have a breadth of experience and good clinical reasoning skills to support prescribers. You may need to assist with recommendations for standard and complex case management, providing guidance to ensure prescribers meet and adhere to service protocols.

You need to be self-motivated and able to work flexibly across the Partnership supporting clients, prescribers and providers when needed. You should be competent in, or willing to develop skills in the use of standard office IT systems, i.; Webelms and Excel.
