Senior Accountant - Practice

A unique opportunity to join an established and reputable practice as a Senior Accountant based in Chester. Applicants will be qualified ACCA / ACA.

You will be required to take responsibility over a portfolio of key clients in a hands-on manner, prepare statutory accounts and see the development of incomplete records to final accounts production with minimal supervision throughout. You will also have significant involvement with review of draft accounts prepared by more junior members of staff, as a senior member within the team.

Role

• Producing Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company accounts

• Taking incomplete records to final accounts productions without supervision

• Statutory accounts preparation

• Dealing/meeting with clients to finalise accounts

• Self-Assessment Tax Returns

• An aspect of this role will be to review draft accounts prepared by junior accountants

• Dealing with client queries

• Liaising with HMRC where required Profile You will have;

• Experience in the preparation of statutory and financial accounts in a practice environment

• Experience working closely with clients in a previous role

• Working experience with SAGE

•Experience in Self-Assessment and the ability to complete Self-Assessment Tax Returns

• Reputable and established accounting practice

Salary & Benefits GBP35,000 to GBP42,000 per annum, potential flexible working options, on-site car parking
